Japan eVisa Online

The Emergency Japan eVisa is not a separate general-purpose eVisa category listed under Japan’s current JAPAN eVISA system. The online system currently covers eligible travellers applying for a single-entry short-term visa for tourism, generally for stays of up to 90 days. Travellers who need to visit Japan urgently should check the Japanese embassy or consulate responsible for their place of residence to understand whether an expedited or exceptional application procedure is available.

If applying for a Japan eVisa, submit complete and accurate documents as early as possible. Incomplete or incorrect applications can be cancelled or delayed. Applicants may also be asked to appear at the relevant Japanese overseas establishment for an interview or additional documents.
