Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Store Salesman to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store’s appearance. You will play a key role in helping customers find products, answering their questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they enter the store and offer assistance in finding products.
  • Provide detailed information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages or issues to the store manager.
  • Assist with store promotions, sales events, and seasonal displays.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Follow store policies and procedures for customer service, sales, and safety.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide excellent customer service.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move items as needed.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail software is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory management or merchandising.
  • Knowledge of specific product categories relevant to the store (e.g., electronics, clothing, groceries).
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
