Job Overview:

We are seeking hardworking and detail-oriented Pavement Workers to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, driveways, and other paved surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in paving, understand safety procedures, and be able to work in a physically demanding environment. You will work with a team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for paving by clearing debris, leveling, and compacting soil or existing surfaces.
• Operate heavy machinery such as asphalt pavers, rollers, and tamping equipment.
• Spread asphalt, gravel, or concrete evenly over surfaces and ensure proper thickness and smoothness.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials for paving projects.
• Maintain and clean equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on paved surfaces, such as filling cracks, potholes, or uneven areas.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while working on job sites.
• Work closely with the foreman and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Assist in marking areas for paving and checking measurements to ensure proper layout.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in road or pavement construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate paving machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Understanding of safety standards and best practices in construction.
• Basic math skills for measuring and leveling surfaces.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with asphalt, concrete, or tar-based materials.
• Knowledge of different paving techniques (e.g., hot mix asphalt, concrete paving).
• Certification or experience in operating heavy equipment (rollers, pavers, etc.).
