Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Machine Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of machinery in our facility. The Machine Mechanic will ensure that all machines and mechanical systems are functioning efficiently and safely to prevent downtime and enhance production. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial machines and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in industrial machines such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and production equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication, calibration, and cleaning, to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting: Identify the cause of mechanical failures and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Parts Replacement: Replace worn-out or damaged components such as bearings, belts, gears, and motors. Source new parts as needed and install them correctly.
• System Upgrades: Assist in upgrading machines with new components or technology to improve performance and safety.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all equipment is operating safely and complies with relevant safety standards. Perform regular safety checks and report potential hazards.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Provide reports on equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and other mechanics to ensure machinery runs efficiently and production goals are met.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to machine malfunctions or breakdowns to minimize production delays. Be available for emergency repairs during shifts or on-call as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a machine mechanic or industrial mechanic is required. Experience with specific types of machinery (e.g., CNC machines, packaging machines, or conveyors) is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including motors, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and solve complex mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy parts and equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail when performing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to work in noisy, hot, or cold environments.
• Flexibility to work shifts or overtime, including weekends, when necessary.
