Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Kitchen Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchen facilities. The Kitchen Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, countertops, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed. This role is vital for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, tables, and sinks, to meet hygiene standards.
• Equipment Cleaning: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, stovetops, fryers, and refrigerators, ensuring they are free of grease, dirt, and grime.
• Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchenware using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.
• Floor Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors, ensuring that spills are promptly cleaned to prevent accidents.
• Garbage Removal: Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste in the proper containers. Replace trash liners as needed.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure cleaning supplies, detergents, and sanitizers are fully stocked and available for use.
• Compliance: Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Storage Area Maintenance: Keep storage areas, including pantries and cleaning supply closets, clean and organized.
• Deep Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as scrubbing walls, ceilings, and ventilation hoods, on a regular schedule.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness during and after food preparation.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a kitchen cleaner or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for long periods while performing cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid environment.
