Job Summary: We are looking for dedicated and hardworking Hazelnut Plantation Workers to join our team. The worker will be responsible for performing various tasks associated with the cultivation, care, and harvesting of hazelnut trees. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions to ensure a successful harvest and healthy plantation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tree Maintenance: Assist in the pruning, thinning, and general care of hazelnut trees to promote healthy growth and productivity.
• Planting and Transplanting: Help with planting new hazelnut trees and transplanting young saplings as needed.
• Irrigation: Set up, maintain, and monitor irrigation systems to ensure that trees receive adequate water. Adjust irrigation schedules as needed based on weather conditions and tree health.
• Weeding and Pest Control: Manually remove weeds and apply pest control measures to protect the hazelnut trees from insects and diseases.
• Harvesting: Participate in the manual or mechanized harvesting of hazelnuts when they ripen. Collect and transport harvested nuts to processing areas.
• Sorting and Packing: Assist with sorting hazelnuts by size and quality, and prepare them for processing or storage.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and sprayers safely and efficiently.
• Fertilization: Apply fertilizers and other nutrients as needed to promote healthy tree growth and improve yield.
• Monitoring Tree Health: Regularly inspect trees for signs of disease, pest infestations, or other issues. Report any concerns to supervisors.
• Field Maintenance: Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the plantation by clearing debris and ensuring pathways are safe.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols when using equipment, handling chemicals, or working in the fields.

Qualifications:

• No prior experience is required, but previous experience in agriculture or tree cultivation is a plus.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of basic agricultural practices and equipment operation is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and during the harvest season.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
