Job Summary: We are looking for a friendly and reliable Gas Station Attendant to join our team. The attendant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with fueling their vehicles, handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the gas station. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, basic math abilities, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly manner and assist them with fueling their vehicles if needed.
  • Fuel Dispensing: Help customers operate fuel pumps and ensure they are using the correct fuel type. If full-service, pump gas for customers.
  • Transaction Handling: Process payments for fuel, merchandise, and services using cash registers, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
  • Stocking Merchandise: Restock shelves with items such as snacks, drinks, and car supplies, ensuring the convenience store area is well-stocked and organized.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the gas station, including cleaning fuel pumps, sweeping the forecourt, and ensuring trash bins are emptied regularly.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor fuel pumps and report any leaks, spills, or safety hazards. Ensure that safety protocols are followed in the event of emergencies such as fuel spills or fires.
  • Basic Vehicle Assistance: Offer basic vehicle assistance to customers, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, or windshield wiper fluid (if required).
  • Reporting: Keep accurate records of fuel sales, stock levels, and any incidents that occur on the premises.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor fuel pumps, check stock levels, and maintain a clean environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving supplies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 kg.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
