Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Fish Plant Worker to join our processing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, processing, and packaging of various fish products. This role involves working in a fast-paced, cold environment, handling raw fish, operating machinery, and ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. Previous experience in fish processing is advantageous but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fish Processing: Clean, fillet, and cut fish according to company specifications and customer orders, ensuring high-quality results.
• Machinery Operation: Operate and monitor machinery used for scaling, filleting, cutting, and packaging fish products.
• Quality Control: Inspect fish for quality, freshness, and adherence to company standards, discarding any defective products.
• Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area, including cleaning workstations, tools, and equipment according to food safety regulations.
• Material Handling: Load and unload fish, transport products to different areas of the plant, and ensure proper storage of both raw and processed fish.
• Packaging: Package fish products securely for shipping or storage, ensuring correct labeling and compliance with company standards.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective gear, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets, communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in fish processing, food production, or a similar environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in cold and wet environments.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in cold and sometimes wet environments.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds.
