Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic Technician to maintain, inspect, and repair a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe, efficient, and roadworthy condition. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and performing repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems. A passion for vehicles and a strong commitment to providing top-notch service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, including cars, trucks, and other types of motor vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including brakes, engines, transmissions, steering, and suspension systems.
  • Test drive vehicles to identify issues and verify the success of repairs.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to safety and industry standards.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance services, and parts used.
  • Advise clients on vehicle care, maintenance schedules, and repair needs.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a vocational or trade school in automotive repair (ASE certification preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic or Technician.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy vehicle parts and equipment (up to [insert weight limit], e.g., 50 lbs).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
