Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Woodwork Construction: Build and install wooden structures, including frameworks, cabinets, doors, windows, and furniture, using various carpentry tools and techniques.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and measurements.
  • Measurement and Cutting: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
  • Installation: Install and secure structural elements such as beams, joists, and trusses, and fit hardware, such as hinges and locks, into wood fixtures.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures, including fixing issues with flooring, cabinetry, and trim work.
  • Finishing: Sand, stain, and paint wood surfaces to achieve a smooth and polished finish as required by the project.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and care for carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and performing routine checks for safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and hearing protection. Ensure that work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial carpentry is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and measuring instruments.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and craftsmanship, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during construction or installation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 kg).
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Capable of working in different environments, including outdoors, in confined spaces, or at heights.
