Job Title: Worker in Timber Warehouse

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Timber Warehouse Worker to assist with the daily operations in our timber warehouse. The worker will be responsible for handling timber materials, organizing stock, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring that the warehouse is kept in an orderly and safe condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, a good understanding of timber products, and the ability to work well in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Load and unload timber products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. Safely move and store timber in designated areas of the warehouse.
• Order Preparation: Prepare customer orders by selecting the correct timber products, cutting or measuring as needed, and packing them for delivery or pick-up.
• Stock Management: Keep track of inventory levels, record incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensure that stock is organized and labeled properly.
• Quality Control: Inspect timber materials for quality and report any defects or damaged items. Ensure that all products meet company standards before dispatch.
• Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and saws, safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Ensure that workspaces are free of hazards and follow all safety protocols.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and helmets, as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse, particularly in handling timber or construction materials, is preferred.
• Skills: Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of forklifts and other equipment. Knowledge of timber products and their handling is a plus.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to 50 kg).
• Communication Skills: Basic verbal and written communication skills in Italian. Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with a team.
• Licenses: Forklift operator certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and working outdoors when necessary.
• Comfortable working in dusty and noisy environments due to the nature of timber products and warehouse operations.
