Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Tractor Driver to operate tractors and other farm equipment to assist with agricultural operations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of agricultural machinery, experience in operating tractors, and a commitment to safety. This role involves a variety of tasks, including plowing, planting, harvesting, and transporting goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tractor Operation: Safely operate tractors and attached implements, such as plows, seeders, harvesters, and trailers, to carry out various agricultural tasks.
  • Field Preparation: Plow and prepare fields for planting by tilling soil, spreading fertilizer, and using other agricultural equipment as necessary.
  • Planting and Harvesting: Assist with planting crops, operating machinery during the growing season, and harvesting crops when ready.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on tractors and other farm equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Transporting Goods: Use the tractor to transport materials, crops, and other goods across the farm or to designated locations.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery.
  • Weather Monitoring: Adjust work schedules based on weather conditions to ensure optimal field operations and prevent damage to equipment or crops.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of field operations, equipment use, and maintenance tasks performed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating tractors and other farm machinery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical systems for troubleshooting and maintenance of farm equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver’s license; tractor certification or equivalent may be required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and during peak seasons.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery.
